Symptom: When printing, the top sheet of paper would advance 1/4″ from the paper feed stack and then stop, causing the printer to signal a paper jam.
These suggestions are At Your Own Risk. They worked for me on a printer I picked up at a yard sale. If you can’t afford to mess up [...]

I went to Family Dollar and Big Lots looking for a multi 3v/6v/9v/12v transformer thingie for a new portable radio I got.
Struck out on the transformer at Family Dollar but I did encounter a transvestite.
I continued to Big Lots. Again, no transformer but there was another transvestite in line ahead of me. This one was [...]

So I’m traveling cross country in a couple of weeks and decided to check the baggage restrictions. I’m traveling for a week but will have access to a washing machine. I’de like to avoid checking any baggage since I would like to make this trip as stress free as possible.
I’ll have to remember that my Cattle [...]

So I finally broke down and got a new laptop. My Toshiba 5105-S501 decided to start flaking out. Seems there is a connection between the motherboard and video card on those machines that gets stressed with age. I didn’t move the computer that much so it lasted almost 4 years for me. At least I [...]

So last week I upgraded my home PC with a new motherboard, case and power supply. Trying to figure out what else I could upgrade I went looking for HD-DVD reader/burner drives. Currently pricewatch.com only has 2 available, Sony BWU-100a ($699) and a Samsung BDP-1000xaa ($845).
Needless to say I passed on them both. Looking at [...]

Some tips for selling on EBay…
1) Research what you’re selling.
Run a search for items similar to yours that are “Completed Items”. This will give you the last 30 days worth of auction history for items matching your search. You can get a pretty good idea of the market value of what you’re selling this way. [...]

I’ve been trying to find out what homes in my neighborhood are worth. I could only get Tax Value for homes in my neighborhood which are about 8% less than realistic asking prices, but hey, its free, and it interfaces with Google Maps: Check out Zillow.com

I always enjoyed listening to Friday and Saturday night radio shows when I lived in New York City. NYC radio was an entity all its own. When DJs had more control of what they played there would be plenty of ‘local hits’ that would get wildly popular in the city that you would never hear [...]

My parents just moved into a new place and have a bunch of extra stuff. I told her I’de take pictures of it and post it on a local website. (I know CraigsList isn’t exactly local, but its got a local scope, that’s enough explanation for them).
I sold their old fridge for them in [...]

…are long lost brothers. I swear Sam sounds just like Vince when he’s answering all those questions during his confirmation hearings.
The last sentence of each of Sam’s responses sounds like lines from Wedding Crashers delivered in his best “Vince’s first date behavior” voice.

Upgraded to WordPress 2.0. Hopefully this will cure my fear of posting. Previous version of WordPress didn’t always confirm that you posted successfully so I was kind of gun shy after losing some posts.
And my latest obsession is this…
