Woah, I never thought NCDOT really put much planning into anything they do (considering the sorry state of traffic patterns in the area).

This is a NCDOT improvement project for an intersection I drive thru at least twice a day:

Option A: Leave everything as-is: Description

Optiob B: Add a turn lane for ~$1mil for the busiest travel flow: Description

Option C: This is the cool one. Flash presentation to show how $3 mil in changes would work: kewl flash animation

Interestingly enough, this is also the intersection where they installed Red Light cameras that only lasted a few months due to citizen pressure:
